My name is Colleen Manrod. I started pet sitting in 1992 when a co-worker needed a pet sitter for a family vacation. After that first job, I was hooked. I got to meet different pets and their families and decided to do this part-time, which I have done for the last 28 years. I just had to advertise in the Metro Pulse for one month and we got more business than we could keep up with. After that, it was just word of mouth, which has kept us very busy.
After working as a school teacher for the past 10 years, I have decided to take Pet, Sit, Stay Pet Sitting to the next level. I have always loved animals and I want to make this passion my full-time job. As a family, we have fostered for Tennessee Valley Golden Retriever Rescue and Young Williams Animal Center and we have adopted all of our pets from TVGRR, Young Williams, or the Humane Society of the Tennessee Valley.
